WILSON WHITTEN spent his childhood just outside of Jackson, MS. Growing up, he learned to play the banjo, guitar, piano, and mandolin. Wilson spent several years in bluegrass, blues, and indie rock bands, and now works as the church music director at Grace South Bay in San Jose, CA.
OLIVIA FRISE picked up the piano as a young girl and spent the rest of her childhood composing and arranging music. She now writes music for short films, private clients, and her own ensembles. Since completing a degree in classical flute, she has played in Irish bands based in upstate New York, St. Louis, and Northern California.
HOMEWOOD | Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Irish Folk Duo came together in Winter 2020. After years playing together in church bands and indie rock bands, they decided to branch out into Irish music. Between Wilson’s knack for the guitar rhythms of a bluegrass reel and Olivia’s Irish-style playing on a classical flute, the duo is the perfect addition to any festival, special event, house party, or night at the pub.
